Enable infrared on OT715 and establish the connection
with Windows XP.- Create a new network connection.
- Choose "Connect to the Internet".
- Choose "Set up my connection manually".
- Choose "Connect using a dial-up modem".
- Choose "Standard Modem over IR link" or "One Touch 715 IrDA".
- Give the connection a name.
- Enter the phone number (consult your service provider).
- Enter the user name, password (if any), and check/uncheck the 3 boxes accordingly.
- Done.

GPRS connections
Note: For simpler setup, use the mobile PhoneTool's GPRS wizard.
Enable infrared on OT715 and establish the connection with Windows XP.
- Create a new network connection.
- Choose "Connect to the Internet".
- Choose "Set up my connection manually".
- Choose "Connect using a dial-up modem".
- Choose "Standard Modem over IR link" or "One Touch 715 IrDA".
- Give the connection a name.

Enter *99***1# as the phone number.
(do not use *99#) - Enter the user name, password (if any), and check/uncheck the 3 boxes depends on personal needs.
- Open "Device Manager" -> Choose "Modems" -> Choose "Standard Modem over IR link" or "One Touch 715 IrDA" -> Right-click and choose "Properties".
- Choose "Advanced" page -> Choose "Extra Settings" -> Choose "Extra initialization command" -> Enter the following line:
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP", "%apn_name%","0.0.0.0",0,0
(consult your service provider for the %apn_name%) - Done.

- Open "Prefs" -> Choose "Connection" page -> Click "New...", give it a name.
- Choose the followings: Connect to "Modem", Via "Infrared", Dialing "TouchTone".
- Click "Details...", change Speed to "115,200 bps".
- Open "Network" page -> Click "New" (open the menu bar and click "New").
- Enter the user name and password (if any), and phone number (consult your service provider).
- Change "Connection:" to the one just created above.
- Change Details settings if necessary.
- Done, enable infrared on OT715, and try connecting.

GPRS connections
- Open "Prefs" -> Choose "Connection" page -> Click "New...", give it a name.
- Choose the followings: Connect to "PC" or "Local Network", Via "Infrared".
- Click "Details...", change Speed to "115,200 bps".
- Open "Network" page -> Click "New" (open the menu bar and click "New").
- Enter the user name, password and phone number.
(enter soemthing even if there's no username and password provided by mobile providers) - Change "Connection:" to the one just created above.
- Click "Details..." -> Click "Script...".

Enter the following script...
Send:
ATZ+CGDCONT=1,"IP","%apn_name%","0.0.0.0",0,0
Send CR:
Wait For: OK
Send: ATDT*99***1#
Send CR:
Wait For: CONNECT
End:Note: Consult your service provider for the %apn_name%, and do not use ATDT*99#.
- Done, enable infrared on OT715, and try connecting.

Do not use "ATDT*99#" as the dialing string for GPRS connections, it doesn't seem to work on OT715.

The AT+CGDCONT... Command is essential for GPRS connections to work. It seems that the WAP profiles on the phone are only used by the phone's WAP browser, therefore you have to manually setup the phone as a modem.
