Drupal UpgradeSubmitted by Lo Yuk Fai on Mon, 2008-09-15 20:58
The site was upgraded from Drupal 5.x to 6.x. It was working fine and as a hindsight, there's no major need to upgrade. Except maybe, the "cool" factor of upgrading something. I had to change the codes of the theme (box_grey) a bit so that it works for 6.x. But other than that, it's just some clicks here and there. Also changed the location of the "files" directory as per suggested. ( categories: )

AES Encryption on WLI-CB-G54LSubmitted by Lo Yuk Fai on Sat, 2006-07-08 02:17
As you may read in my other article, my home router now supports WPA2-PSK and AES encryption. However, among the WLAN PC cards I have, not all support AES encryption, and one of them is the Buffalo WLI-CB-G54L. It is based on the Texas Instrument TNETW1130 chipset, which apparently DOES support AES encryption. ( categories: )
A Little Hacking of Planex BLW-54PMSubmitted by Lo Yuk Fai on Sat, 2006-07-08 02:03
*** Disclaimer: By flashing the firmware, your router could be bricked/killed and its warranty be voided. *** I bought a Planex BLW-54PM home router some time ago. It does the job well and in my opinions good for its price. However, the lack of some features, like the support of AES encryption in WPA-PSK mode, and little configurable tweaks here and there, drove me to explore around for 3rd party firmwares, which is more functional and configurable, that can be loaded on it. Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000Submitted by Lo Yuk Fai on Sun, 2006-03-12 00:08
It was bought to replace the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 which I've used for 2 years. Despite the fact that the Explorer was specifically designed for right-handers, the 3000 actually feels better in my hand. Comaparing the 3000 with the Explorer... First of all, it's smaller and fits better in my hand. I consider my hand medium size for an Asian male, your milage may vary, but it feels just right for me. ( categories: )
